Usage Instructions for PUR Edge Banding Hot Melt Adhesive
Confirm the materials to be bonded and the edge banding strip (including the bonding panels, edge banding material, machine edge banding speed, adhesive melting temperature, and final strength), and request the appropriate adhesive from the PUR edge banding hot melt adhesive supplier.
Clean the gluing equipment, activate the temperature control panel, and heat the adhesive.
Access the equipment control panel to set parameters including edge banding speed, adhesive application volume, and trimming settings.
After completing the panel edge banding, inspect the results. If satisfactory, allow the bonded panels to rest for 24 hours before proceeding to subsequent processes.

Q1. Why does the edge banding strip detach from the board immediately after the edge banding process?
A1.. The edge banding tape is too thick and incompatible with the selected adhesive. b. Insufficient adhesive application. c. The selected adhesive has an excessively long development time. d. Edge banding speed is too fast, resulting in poor initial tack strength of the adhesive. e. Melting temperature setting is too low. f. Insufficient pressure from the pressure roller.
Q2. Why does the edge banding detach from the panel during subsequent processing?
A2. Insufficient dwell time in ambient conditions. b. Inadequate adhesive application. c. Low ambient temperature or humidity preventing adhesive curing. d. Incompatibility between the selected adhesive and the substrate material.
Q3. When replacing the adhesive suction cup with a new bucket, is cleaning required?
A3. No cleaning is needed for consecutive use. However, for first-time use, thoroughly clean both the suction cup and suction tube before application.
