PUR Hot Melt Adhesive

PUR Hot Melt Adhesive

PUR Hot Melt Adhesive (Polyurethane) is a reactive moisture curing adhesive known for–Strong Bonds and Exceptional Heat, Cold and Moisture-Resistance; this makes them an excellent choice for most difficult to bond, low energy substrates and they perform very well in extreme weather environments.

Features

Moisture-curing reaction

Wide material compatibility

High strength and elasticity

Weather resistance

Solvent-free

Ease of application

Fast curing

Superior bonding performance

Advantage

High bonding strength: Provides strong adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including challenging materials like plastics and metals.

Resistance to high and low temperatures: Cured adhesive remains stable in extreme conditions, suitable for temperatures ranging from -40°C to 120°C or higher.

Waterproof and moisture resistance: Offers excellent waterproofing and moisture resistance, making it ideal for humid environments or outdoor applications.

Chemical resistance: Strong resistance to oils, solvents, and cleaning agents ensures stable bonding performance.

Environmentally friendly: Low VOC emissions and solvent-free, meeting environmental standards with minimal impact on humans and the environment.

High production efficiency: Quick curing and shorter processing times make it suitable for large-scale industrial production.

Flexibility: The cured adhesive film is highly flexible, absorbing stress caused by thermal expansion or contraction to prevent bonding failure.

Durability: Exhibits excellent aging resistance, providing long-term performance without degradation.

High initial tack: Offers sufficient adhesion upon initial contact, facilitating subsequent operations.

Versatile for multiple processes: Widely used in processes such as flat lamination, wrapping, edge banding, and laminating.

Application

PUR adhesives are suitable for laminating materials such as wood and wood derivative products such as MDF, chipboard and more. Before application, the adhesives are melted with special melters, and can be applied to substrates in combination with decorative papers, veneers, CPL, thermoplastic films and HPL by use of special heated rollers or slot nozzles.
